Peak Porsche in PTS: 2010 997 Porsche 911 GT3 at Carhuna Auction
The Porsche 911 is THE quintessential sports car, and the GT3 badge elevates the proposition with a dash of motorsport magic and Andreas Preuninger spice.
AP has been behind every Porsche GT product since the second generation 996 GT3, only the first generation 996 was produced without Preuninger’s touch. There is much debate amongst diehard Porsche nerds about which generation of GT3 is ‘best’, but the second generation 997 GT3, with its 3.8 litre Metzger, is always in contention.
The Porsche 997 has already earned its place as a modern classic, but the 997 GT3, with its track honed performance, is quickly becoming something even more special. Produced between 2009-2011, Porsche's GT Program saw significant advancements, cementing the brand's status in blending road and race capability. The 997.2 GT3 received an upgraded 3.8-litre engine, the M97/77, boosting power to 435 hp at 7,600 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm.
When it comes to special, this Paint to Sample Macadamia Metallic GT3 takes the cake. This 997 Porsche 911 GT3 3.8 is a "C00" German-supplied example, first delivered to Porsche Aschaffenburg in July 2010. It stands out with an impressive list of factory options, most notably its Paint to Sample finish, which extends to the body-coloured wheels. This particular combination is believed to be the only one of its kind worldwide, making it unique and extremely desirable given the car on which the colour is being worn. Its distinctive and elegant appearance sets it apart, making it one of the most unique and sought-after GT3s available—ideal for the discerning collector.
Carhuna are honoured to have this spectacular car available at auction, being offered via Autofolio on behalf of the owner in Monaco. The auction will be live on October 9th and will conclude on October 16th.
