The 997 Porsche 911 Turbo, featuring a 3.6-litre Mezger flat-six and offering manual or PDK transmissions, was a hit when it launched in 2006 winning multiple magazine group tests and awards, it would be more than enough performance for most.
In 2014, the third and current owner upgraded this example to RUF RT600 specification, significantly boosting its appeal. RUF's modifications included larger turbochargers, refined ECU, sports air filter, and custom exhaust, increasing the engine’s output from 480hp to 600hp and torque to 850 Nm. These enhancements turned the 997 into a powerhouse, far exceeding its original performance. Additionally, the clutch and brakes were upgraded to handle this power.
The car also received a full respray in Light Grey with a burgundy racing stripe, 19” RUF 5-spoke monoblock wheels, a front lift system, LED tail lights, carbon RUF sport mirrors, a carbon trunk hood, and an RT12S bumper.
Interior updates began in 2010 with a refresh, followed by a major overhaul in 2017. This included OEM Porsche folding carbon buckets and a retrim in burgundy with contrast stitching, costing over €2,400. An Alpine radio system was also installed. The interior changes really add a pop of colour and help this 997 to stand out in any crowd, particularly with the matching stripe and door handles.
