The Most Fierce of Ferraris: 2017 Ferrari F12 tdf at Carhuna Auction

Ferrari’s F12 tdf is a nod to its racing roots, taking inspiration from the legendary 250 GT Berlinetta that dominated the Tour de France Automobile race during the 1950s.

This particularly rare example is now set to be auctioned by DK Engineering through Carhuna, running from October 23rd to October 30th.

This 2017 version of the F12 tdf features a 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 769 bhp, an improvement over the F12 Berlinetta’s 730. With an increased rev limit of 8,900 rpm and enhancements such as a revised inlet manifold, it delivers 123 bhp per litre. The car accelerates from 0-60 mph in a swift 2.9 seconds and reaches 120 mph just five seconds later. A weight reduction of 110 kg compared to the Berlinetta, combined with Ferrari’s innovative rear-wheel steering system, enhances its responsiveness and control, allowing it to lap Fiorano in 1:21.00—just 1.3 seconds slower than the mighty LaFerrari.

The example up for auction is finished in Blu Tour de France, a colour steeped in Ferrari’s history and seen on fewer than 20 F12 tdf models. This particular tdf is believed to be one of just two UK-supplied, right-hand-drive examples in this shade, making it exceptionally rare. Delivered to a member of the British nobility in 2017, this car’s story is intertwined with Ferrari’s elite connections. The original owner, a close associate of the late Gianni Agnelli, was given exclusive access to limited Ferrari models—a privilege he only exercised three times, with this F12 tdf being his final acquisition.

With 260 miles on the clock, this F12 tdf is as new and comes with its original books and a spare key. For collectors and Ferrari enthusiasts, this Blu Tour de France edition presents a rare chance to own a remarkable lightened V12 Ferrari. Don’t miss out, head to Carhuna.com to place your bid before the auction ends on October 30th.
