From modern muscle powered SUVs to historic Ferrari racecars, here are some of the most exciting sales highlights from 2024.
1960 Cegga Ferrari 250 TR Recreation – £680,000
An absolute showstopper, the 1960 Cegga Ferrari 250 TR Recreation was powered by an authentic Ferrari V12 engine. With its stunning hand-crafted body and motorsport pedigree, this recreation embodied the golden age of endurance racing. Achieving a jaw-dropping £680,000, it was one of the most talked-about lots of the year, cementing Carhuna’s ability to bring unique, high-value vehicles to market. We look forward to seeing the car on the Goodwood Revival grid in 2025.
1986 Ferrari Testarossa – £132,700
This 1986 Ferrari Testarossa embodied 1980s excess, with its dramatic side strakes and powerful flat-12 engine. Thanks to its original Rosso Corsa paintwork, a well-documented history, and low mileage being offered by Redline Specialist Cars, this iconic supercar achieved an impressive £132,700. The Testarossa remains a firm favourite among collectors, and this result underlines its enduring appeal.
2001 Ferrari 360 Modena – £75,500
With its Pininfarina-designed body and high-revving 3.6-litre V8, the 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena proved to be a timeless modern classic. Finished in Verde Zeltweg over Beige leather and offered in pristine condition, this example fetched £75,500. Its reasonable running costs and usability make the 360 Modena a rising star in the collector car market. In a managed sale via Carhuna Concierge on behalf of a private seller, this spectacular and rare 360 is being enjoyed by its new owner.
1994 Porsche 911 Strosek Mega Speedster – £104,000
Combining Porsche heritage with Strosek’s avant-garde design, this 1994 911 Strosek Mega Speedster turned heads with its radical styling and rarity. One of only a handful produced, its sale for £104,000 demonstrated the value of bespoke, niche creations in today’s market. Sold by DK Engineering in a Carhuna Auction, the fierce bidding at the close of the auction shows the strength of the nice air-cooled Porsche market.
2010 997 Porsche 911 GT3 – €140,000
For those chasing the ultimate driver’s Porsche, the 2010 997.2 GT3 delivered in every sense. With its naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six engine and track-focused setup, this example achieved £118,000. Porsche enthusiasts recognise the GT3 as a future classic, and this sale reflects its desirability. The strength in the price of this privately sold example based in Monaco can be attributed to its unique paint to sample and CXX options with its gorgeous Macadamia Metallic finish.
2001 Hummer H1 – £80,000
For buyers seeking rugged utility and military-inspired design, the 2001 Hummer H1 stood tall. This low-mileage, fully equipped example, originally imported and IVA-processed by DK Engineering, sold for £80,000, highlighting the growing demand for off-road icons.
2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk – £90,000
Modern muscle had its moment with the sale of the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Packing a supercharged 707 hp V8, this street-legal powerhouse fetched £90,000, appealing to enthusiasts seeking practicality with staggering performance.
