General Description
Serving as the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, the F430 Scuderia had big shoes to fill. The model was unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Motorshow, by Michael Schumacher, the pairing sending a clear message of intent for a new track focused Ferrari.
Ferrari put the standard F430 on a diet, shedding 100kg and adding 20bhp over the standard car. The Scuderia was intended as the hardcore sibling that would scream its way to 8,500rpm in a cacophony of speed and noise.
The Scuderia was supplied exclusively with a single-clutch automated manual transmission, which allowed the driver to change gear in just 60 milliseconds. It would arrive at 60mph in just 3.6 seconds before carrying on to a top speed at the thick end of 190mph.
7-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher played a key role in the development of the Scuderia, helping to develop the driving dynamics alongside Ferrari’s engineers. The 430 Scuderia snatched technology from F1, implementing an E-Diff system which was revolutionary at-the-time.
The Motorsport technology, stunning styling and that screaming 8,500rpm redline combine to create a highly sought after and collectible modern classic Ferrari.
