General Description
The Ferrari 328 was introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show replacing the Pinifarina designed 308, with only minor revisions to the styling. These included a moulded bumper, a deeper rear valance and subtle roof spoiler for improved aerodynamics. The interior featured improved seat covers, door cards, instruments, switchgear, heating and ventilation. The transverse mid/rear mounted V8 engine was a development of the 2,926cc unit from the 308 Quattrovalvole, bored out to 3,185cc and retaining the Bosch k-Jetronic fuel injection but with new Marelli electronic engine management. These improvements raised power from 245bhp to 270bhp. The 328 reaches 60mph in just 5.5 seconds and go on to a top speed of 170mph.
