About this specific vehicle
1970 Citroen DS21 Familiale
A very rare right hand drive English delivered example of the DS21 station wagon that remains eminently usable and very practical for classic family outings.
The car has been owned by several clearly devoted DS enthusiasts who have looked after the car throughout its life as detailed in correspondence and invoicing on file. Several years ago the car was bought at auction by a well-known DS devotee who restored the already good car to the highest standards. We recently purchased the DS and sent it to the acknowledged DS expert Stuart Ager of Andrew Brodie Engineering for a full inspection and service. Any item found wanting was addressed and a number of upgrades suggested by Stuart were fitted, a full service was also completed of course. Invoices on file amounting to £6,500 detail this work.
Described by Stuart as probably the best example of its type in the UK, this DS looks fantastic and drives beautifully, everything works as it should and being a five-speed manual example it cruises effortlessly. A relaxed drive back from Stuart’s workshop through a congested London to Oxfordshire confirmed how well set up this DS is and how advanced it must have been in its day.
