For the best part of the last two years, BMW has been ridiculed for its overly aggressive front-end designs, especially with large grilles. But even then, the discourse couldn't be turned away from the fact that the German carmaker launched what's been a dream car for many — more so since the time they showcased an E46 BMW M3 Touring in the concept form. But unlike the former, the brand new G81 BMW M3 Touring didn't remain a concept. Powered by a twin-turbocharged straight-six (which makes 500+ bhp, in stock form), it's an all-weather family car (thanks to the onboard xDrive all-wheel-drive system), which can offer up to 1500+ litres of boot space. Plus when not in the mood for the mundane, it'll register 60 mph in nearly the same time as a 911 GT3. That's a big ask but the BMW M3 Touring promises to deliver.

Carhuna presents a rather nicely specced 2023 BMW M3 Touring, which has just done 1700 miles. Registered in July this year, this M3 Touring is a VAT qualifier, adds the seller, and has had its first service already. Bought this year from Maidenhead BMW, the car only has one owner. The first running-in service was done at 1100 miles.

Full Disclosure:

With practicality and performance given nearly equal weightage, the BMW M3 Touring is definitely one of the rare cars which get it right. It's been appreciated for the way it drives, which is reassuring since that's the biggest criterion for anyone choosing an M3 over its rivals. The other great bit about the G81 M3 is that the estate body type does lend the car an undoubtedly better appearance, even if specced in the most basic form. Although this example is specced really well: Black Sapphire paint on the outside, a staggered (19s at the front and 20s at the rear) Orbit Grey forged alloy wheel setup, red brake callipers, and privacy glass.

Inside the cabin, which is identical to the saloon, except for the added space and practicality at the rear, it gets Silverstone and Black Merino Extended Leather upholstery. There's a Harmon Kardon sound system, complete with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. There's also heated memory seats that are electrically adjustable, Live Cockpit Professional (which is the all-screen instrument console in BMW parlance), the optional Parking Assistant Plus and Drive Recorder, and Driving Assistant, among other bits.

The car was specced with BMW's Comfort Pack, which includes comfort access, heated steering wheel, and luggage compartment package. The interior is specced with a mix of Black High Gloss and optional Carbon Fibre trim. Along with the upcoming BMW M5 Touring (which isn't the first time BMW doing one), the G81 BMW M3 Touring represents a new era of potentially future classic BMWs — and this example presents a great chance to add one to your collection.
