General Description
Introduced in 2013, the F12 Berlinetta is Ferrari's replacement for the long lived 599 GTB. From the outset, the Maranello based brand would not only seek to vastly improve the performance of the V12 supercar, but also the driveability. A core factor in the increased liveability of the F12 versus its predecessor stems from its much reduced dimensions (50mm shorter, 60mm lower, 20mm narrower and with a 20mm shorter wheelbase).
The headline performance figures are a staggering 730bhp produced at 8250rpm (with the redline set at a scintillating 8,700 rpm) from the 6.3L V12. Whilst the V12 shares its common architecture with the earlier FF, Ferrari designed the F12's engine to produce more power at higher rpm and with a much increased throttle response. Power is sent to the rear wheels via Ferrari's wonderful 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
Styling wise, Ferrari turned to the trusted hand of legendary design house, Pininfarina. It would later transpire that this would be the last full-production Ferrari to be penned by the hand of Pininfarina before the brands styling would move in-house.
About this specific vehicle
This wonderfully specified UK supplied example would first be delivered in October of 2017 via Dick Lovett Ferrari of Swindon. One of the very last RHD F12's to be registered in the UK, it is obvious that no expense was spared when it came to the options list.
Presenting in the Ferrari Historical colour of Verde British Racing 611 over a Cioccolato interior, the car has seen little use and shows just 2,200 miles on the clock. Having been serviced to plan every year since delivery, the car is offered from the care of just the second owner who purchased the car in October 2018 through DK Engineering. The car is booked in for an annual service with Meridien Modena as part of the sale.
Coming from a very prominent collection within the UK which has also been the home of no less than a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, 250 GTO, a special project Aston Martin, long-nose Jaguar D-type and a ex-Fangio Maserati 250F to name a few. DK Engineering sourced this car for it's current keeper to replace their 599 GTO, and the brief was simply to find the best F12. The owner no longer has a requirement for a vehicle like this.
We believe that the F12 will become increasingly more valuable and eventually overtake the 812, and special examples like this one will of course become harder to come across.
