General Description
The final ferocious iteration of the form, the 675 LT was developed from the already ballistic 650S. The LT saw power rise from the original 640bhp up to 666bhp or 675PS. The car retains the McLaren developed MonoCell, a single-pressed Carbon Fibre Tub that weighs just 80kg and provides the car with the bulk of its rigidity. Despite the fact just 500 Coupes were made, the 675 has 33% new parts, and half of the 3.8Litre engine upgraded to find an extra 25bhp.
Inspired by the McLaren F1 GTR 'Longtail' the Limited Edition 675LT is 100kg lighter, more powerful and has 40% more downforce than the 650S below it. A stickler for facts and figures, McLaren managed to make the conrods 11% lighter, the spring rates 27% stiffer, the engine speed change rate 55% faster and even on the smaller scale, the front tyre grip was increased by 6%.
With a limited run of just 500 coupes built, combined with its reduced weight and increased agility, means McLaren created one of their greatest and most driver focused cars ever.
About this specific vehicle
The Àndele Collection recognises defining models spanning all eras and ends of the automotive spectrum; from Japanese rally legends to the pioneering McLaren F1. A keen driver, each of these were chosen as exemplary models from each marque, due to their performance and capabilities, further optimised by the owner with their ultimate specifications chosen to reflect the heritage of each of the marques.
The stunning example we have presented here was first delivered via McLaren Dubai in 2016 to the first and only owner. Originally it would be ordered and supplied in the exterior colour of Silicia White over a black/red interior.
In December of 2020, the car would be imported to the UK by the first owner and registered here. Once in the UK, the car was handed over to the trusted hands of McLaren special project experts, Lanzante/McLaren Petersfield for a paint upgrade in the elegant hue of Blu Alfa as the car presents today. These works would total almost £50,000 and have imbued the car with a sophisticated aesthetic and we believe one of just two 675 LT's finished in this colour.
The paintwork is now protected by full paint protection film by Topaz London. Not content with the inherent rarity of the 675 LT, the first owner would further enhance the car with an extensive list of desirable optional extras as listed below:
- Paint upgrade by Lanzante/McLaren Petersfield to the colour of 'Blu Alfa' in 2022
- Interior in Black Alcantara with Harissa red inserts
- Stitching in Harissa red
- Alcantara Steering wheel
- Meridian Surround Sound System
- Carbon fibre interior upgrade
- Carbon fibre steering wheel
- Carbon fibre exterior upgrade in satin
- Carbon fibre centre caps
- Carbon fibre side intake
- Carbon fibre mirror caps
- Carbon fibre front louvres - upgraded by Lanzante/McLaren Petersfield in 2022
- Front axle lifting system
- Ultra-lightweight forged wheels in Silver
- Parking camera
- Suspension lift
- Soft close doors
- Air conditioning
It is clear that the first and only owner has not skimped on maintenance with a strong history of regular servicing both by McLaren Dubai and by Lanzante/McLaren Petersfield here in the UK. Having covered just 1,680 miles from new and subject to significant recent expenditure, this rare 675 LT would serve as a wonderful reference example of the marque's landmark mid-engine supercar. Offered from part of an important collection that includes a McLaren F1, this 675 LT will also have a PDI by Lanzante/McLaren Petersfield as part of any sale. Available to view here at our showrooms located just outside of London.
