There wasn't anything like the SLS before it was brought out, and there hasn't been anything like it since. The top-tier AMG wasn't just a highly focused 6.2-litre-engined two-seat supercar, it was also one that attained collectable status soon after it was launched. As AMG was prepping to transition to a new, more modern model (dubbed the AMG GT), a final hurrah for the SLS AMG came in the form of the Final Edition. It married everything great on the SLS with bits from the more focused (but the rather 'unobtanium') SLS Black Series. It's said that out of 350 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Final Edition cars, only six examples made it to the UK. Listed here is one such car, replete with full dealer service history, two keys, just under 4500 miles on the clock, and a valid MoT.

Being the last of its kind, the SLS AMG Final Edition came with a handful of extra bits. It was still powered by a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated 'M159' V8, but as was the case with the GT iteration, it made more power than before. The official figures of 583 bhp and 479 lb ft would enable the rear-wheel-drive to hit 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The unique inclusions on the Final Edition were the carbon fibre bonnet, front splitter, and a large, fixed spoiler. This 2014 Final Edition's Fire Opal Red, which complements the contrasting carbon fibre parts and the model-specific forged alloys, is a definitive attention grabber — even with the show-stopping Gullwing doors of the car are shut.

Service History:

There's no doubt the SLS AMG was a pathbreaking and highly successful product, but the special edition models do tick the rarity box quite effectively too. This means it's very likely that these are sparingly used. And with just 4440 miles done since new, this car is a great example. It's recorded to have four previous owners and it has been serviced only at the dealer since new — there's complete paperwork to support that. The current owner bought the car in 2021 and it's been dry garaged when not in use.

This SLS AMG has been kept in its original spec since new: Fire Opal Red exterior and Black Designo Exclusive Leather interior. The interior got the Extended Interior Carbon Fibre package selected, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and even a reverse parking camera. The seller mentions that the car is devoid of any issues, and as can be seen in the photo gallery, its paintwork looks pretty spotless, too. To minimise any use-related damage, it has been treated to a partial PPF (paint protection film), which is applied to the front end of the car, the wing, and the carbon sill plates on the inside. The car also has the optional carbon fibre exterior mirror covers, too.
