General Description

Whilst the MP4-12C (later just the 12C) was first launchd in 2011, development started as early as 2005. McLaren hadn't produced a stand-alone roadgoing car since the F1 ceased production in 1998, with a joint collaboration with Mercedes on the SLR in the early 00s. The MP4-12C was born out of the idea of bringing McLaren back to the top of the supercar market and it did just that - an old name now firmly back in the game. 

Power is delivered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 producing a more than healthy 592 bhpmated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. All of this ensured a 0-62mph of 3.3 seconds and a top-speed of 205mph; extremely quick even by todays standards. 

The MP4-12C is undeniably a genesis moment for the new era of McLaren supercars as it provided the very foundation that would see the brand split the following cars into the Super Series, Sports Series, Ultimate Series and the GT.

This particular McLaren is presented in the distinctive exterior shade of Elite Volcano Red over a Carbon Black and Harissa Red leather interior and first delivered to the EU market. Shortly after taking delivery of this MP4-12C in Europe, this car’s first custodian registered the car at his UK address while awaiting the delivery of his brand-new McLaren P1. Covering just a few thousand miles and being sold in quick succession, the car was then purchased by its current owner in September 2014

Furlonger workshops completed an annual service on this example in November 2023, mechanically preparing the car to a high standard for its next custodian.
