General Description

The RS4 has been a staple of the performance world for over 20 years now, but perhaps there’s no greater example than the B7 generation. Considered by many to be the sweet spot in Audi’s back-catalogue and manufactured at the height of the German car industry.

The star of the show is the naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8 up-front, mated to the 6-speed manual gearbox and kept planted by the infamous Audi Quattro system. The characterful engine made a peak of 414hp with a redline at 8250rpm.

Today the B7 is lauded as a fast becoming modern classic. With its clean un-fussy design, and a V8 that has perhaps the perfect amount of exploitable power and character for British roads.
