General Description
Launched at the 2004 Paris Motor Show and enjoying a 5 year production run, the Ferrari F430 represented a significant evolution over the preceeding 360 model. Although both cars shared the derivatives of the 360 Alcoa chassis, the body was quite different and the naturally aspirated engine now producing 490 BHP, became the most powerful road going Ferrari V8 made at the time.
The reality is that improvements in build quality and reliability made the 430 a realistic opportunity for the Ferrari owner to use the car on a daily basis and the E-diff that used clutches to send more torque to the non-slipping wheel enhanced the handling and outright performance.
The gearbox options of a 6 speed manual or an improved F1 Graziano box with paddle shift were offered, with 90% of production fitted with the F1 transmission. The introduction of the Manettino dial on the steering wheel enabled easy access to change traction control, E-diff, shock absorbers and gear shift speed settings, chnaging the dynamics of the car via the dial.
In 2005 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Spider was introduced with aerodynamics refined through use of simulation programs employed for the development of the Ferrari F1 cars.
The Spider was claimed to reach over 193 mph and 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds. Improved rigidity and aerodynamic efficency resulted in a Ferrari convertible which was leagues ahead of the preceeding 360 model in respect of performance and comfort at high speed.
About this specific vehicle
The collector who has looked after this car for the past 10 years is well known to us and extremely discerning.
Like many of his cars this Ferrari has been stored in a professional environment and despite minimal use, diligently serviced to ensure the car is on the button and ready for immediate use.
This must be one of the lowest mileage Ferrari F430 Spiders in existence and with a mere 4845 miles from new - which can be substantiated by MOT and service records.
The car has full main dealer service history with the last service carried out by DK Engineering. The car has been serviced irrespective of the minimal use and has all handbooks etc.
In superb condition commensurate with its low mileage and quite possibly THE reference 430 Spider for a collector!
