General Description

Entering 2001 the WRC removed the requirement for rally cars to be homologated, meaning there was no official requirement for the upcoming Evo VII, however by then the Evo series was already a cult classic in its own right The direction was made to move the car to a heavier platform but fill it with cutting edge technology such as active yaw control and an all new active differential, allowing the option to enhance performance across various terrains.

One of the draws to the Evo has always been the depth and ability to tune and customise it to extract further performance and the series has since enjoyed a cult following and remained popular with enthusiasts as well as  infamous tuning shops that have long used the Evo as a showcase for their parts and services.

About this specific vehicle

This particular Evo VII is one of only two demonstration cars built in collaboration between Advan and HKS by RSK Japan. Imported into the UK in 2006 meaning a low ownership count in Japan. Since its arrival into the UK it has mainly been used as a stand / show car and exhibited on various track days as well as the infamous Gumball Rally 3000.

Starting life as a GSR finished in Scotia White this Evo VII benefits from being a JDM spec car as opposed to a UK spec car whilst fitted with a whole host of upgrades ensuring that it is a completely a one of a kind build that would cost a significant amount to attempt to replicate.

Highlighted upgrades include the HKS GT 37R turbocharger, HKS twin plate clutch, XL Greddy intercooler with Custom RSK titanium pipe work, Evo VII Varis lightweight full dry carbon fibre bonnet and full custom RSK Titanium exhaust system. The rare parts included on this car also extend to the bodywork with a very sought after rear full carbon fibre spoiler blade fitted to the vehicle.

The vendor reports that the car is supplied with two keys, a sizeable history file, and racesuit in the boot.

The last service was carried out in November 2023 with a full service, including a complete health check along with greasing driveshafts/ new clear timing belt cover and a new windscreen.
