Ferrari knew that they had created a tough act to follow with the F355, a car universally revered for its looks, performance and sounds. It had transformed the brand’s image and transported Ferrari back to bedroom-wall poster status. Launched at the 1999 Geneva Motorshow, the Prancing Horse’s new junior supercar, the 360, was revealed to critical acclaim - offering to set a new benchmark in supercar performance and a radical change in design laguage. Gone were the sharp, square lines and pop-up headlamps traceable back to the 308. Instead Pininfarina has gone big and bold - ushering in a new era of F1 focused technology and performance.
Whilst the F355 was an evolution of the 348, the 360 was a brand new car from the ground up boasting state of the art technology taken from Ferrari’s Formula 1 programme. Despite being 10% larger than it’s predecessor the 360 was 28% lighter. Coupled with a brand new 3.6-litre flat-plane V8 producing 400hp at 8000rpm, resulting in a 0-60mph of just 4.5 seconds.
Formula 1 inspired semi-automtic gearboxes were the must have technology when entering the 21st century, meaning that with over 17,000 360s made globally. Just 6,000 are believed to have been specified with a manual gearbox with just a little over 350 of those believed to have been supplied to the UK market.
Delivered new to its first owner on 13/06/2001 this open-gated Ferrari 360 was ordered in the attractive combination of Verde Zeltweg over Beige leather. The 6th and current owner acquired the car in 2022 having purchased it from performance and classic car specialists, Hangar 136 in Bicester. Upon collection, the owner requested Keys Motorsport inspect the car, giving it a clean bill of health. Since then, the owner has reported that he has covered a mere 2,000 miles with the odometer now reading 47,953 miles at the time of listing.
The bodywork presents in pristine condition with no noticeable blemishes on the exterior or interior, aided by the application of paint protection film (PPF). All four wheels are unmarked and this particular 360 benefits from being supplied with its original tool kit, car cover and book pack - featuring a large binder outlining this car’s extensive history. A Capristo exhaust has been professionally fitted to the car by a previous owner.
This particular car is one of three cover stars for the October 2024 edition of Octane Magazine, featuring Ferrari’s greatest V8’s. Chosen not only for its condition - but for the stunning and unique specification for a Ferrari of its day.

The most recent MoT was undertaken on December 27th 2023 resulting in a first time pass with one advisory for an undertray being fitted.
Taking this car out for filming and photography, we were impressed by how athletic this 360 felt, particularly with its balanced control weightings in the clutch and steering. Its cabin feels special without being intimidating thanks to exceptional visibility and a straightforward, non-sticky, interface. Whether crawling in traffic or travelling at speed, it’s as easy as handling a 996 Porsche 911 of the same era.
The real treat comes when you explore the rev range; the Capristo exhaust delivers an intoxicating soundtrack, perfect for dropping a window and enjoying a downshift, especially with that classic open-gate shifter. Pictures don’t do justice to its stunning looks in this rare configuration—happy bidding, this is one you won’t want to miss!
Please note that this vehicle has been professionally fitted with a full Capristo exhaust by a previous owner. This vehicle is currently in our secure storage facility and available for viewing just outside of London.
