General Description
EXTERIOR
This Carrera 2S replicates the stunning lines of the Turbo S with the ultra rare factory fit options in Y75 Aerokit and X79 Air inlets. It’s believed just 19 right hand drive cars were produced from factory with these options.
Finished in the classic shade of arctic silver it is truly complimentary to the elegant proportions of the last air cooled 911 and looks demonstrably more purposeful with front spoiler and fixed rear wing than the standard C2s.
This example sits in excellent condition considering its mileage, with no fading or corrosion, the Metallic Silver finish still sparkles in the light. Headlights remain crack and moisture free while the wide arches are damage free, only a light dusting of stone chips can be seen across the front of the car.
INTERIOR
The cabin of the 993 has a more refined approach to the positioning of the controls and switches compared with previous models. The plush ‘Marble Grey’ interior is beautifully assembled; a familiar feeling of real quality and craftsmanship synonymous with Porsche design. The leather remains tight and extremely clean given it’s light colour.
Carpet and mat set are present well with door cards and dash fit retaining excellent original integrity. Set into the dashboard this Carrera 2S has been fitted with White Dials; a rare option for the 993.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3.6 litre has a perfectly elastic powertrain at both ends of the rev range enhanced further with Porsche Varioram technology. Tractability is at the core of what makes the non turbo 993 so user-friendly.
The engine bay presents dry and clean throughout, with a major service including spark plugs, gearbox oil and a brake fluid service just carried out by OPC Brooklands.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Turbo Twist ‘Technology’ 18 inch wheels present well with no curb marks or lacquer peel, wrapped in N Rated Pirelli P Zero rubber all round showing ample tread depth.
Brakes show plenty of life to both pad and disc and pull the car up quickly and smoothly.
