The Nissan Skyline R33 GTR is widely regarded as a legendary piece of Japanese automotive engineering, building upon the success of its predecessor, the R32 dubbed: ‘Godzilla’. 

Launched in 1995, the R33 featured the sophisticated ATTESA E-TS Pro AWD system and Super-HICAS rear-wheel steering, making it a formidable performer on both road and track. Powered by the iconic RB26DETT 2.6L twin-turbo inline-six engine, the R33 GTR delivered exhilarating performance, with the capability to produce over 300 hp in stock form and but flourished under modification. Building upon the foundation laid by the R32, the R33 continued to  develop the legend of the GTR, following up with the Iconic R34 Skyline and the modern R35 GTR. Today, the R33 GTR remains a sought-after 90’s icon, gaining momentum in the classic car scene.

Upgrades include a new cam belt, water pump, Koyo radiator, HKS filters, and new discs and pads. The extensive list of Nismo parts and performance enhancements reflects a dedication to preserving the car’s heritage while elevating its capabilities.

The car is equipped with a Nismo 400R front bumper, lower lip, and rear diffuser, giving it an aggressive, period-accurate look. Additional Nismo exterior enhancements such as carbon mirror covers, smoked side repeaters, wing end plates, and rear arch extensions contribute to its striking presence. Inside, the cabin features a Nismo steering wheel, gear shifter, carbon dash surround, and Black Nismo seat covers over the original grey seats with purple stitching, giving the new custodian the option to return to standard.

Performance modifications include HKS intake filters, Remiax downpipes, an HKS sports catalytic converter, and a Remiax cat-back exhaust system, optimising both power and exhaust note. The Tein coilovers provide improved handling and stance, while the Volk Racing TE37SL wheels with custom billet alloy centre caps complete the look.

Full disclosure

The seller states that the car presents well with a few minor imperfections to the bodywork. The car is offered with full UK registration documents, with its cherished plate not staying with the car. The car comes with 2x Key fobs, its original Japanese paperwork, Nismo Folder with certificates for parts and upon arrival in the UK received a full service and MOT from JM Imports, including:

• New water pump
• New HKS filters
• New top and bottom rad hoses
• New Discs and Pads All round
• New timing Belt (HKS item).
• New Koyo Radiator

At present, the HICAS rear system is not operable from upgrading wheels and suspension components. Commonplace upgrade is to ‘lock-out’ HICAS after upgrades. The car is registered as a ‘Grade R’ in Japan.

The odometer has been replaced with Nismo white dials reading 74,425km with old clocks reading 118,247km at time of change , all recorded by JM imports. The car currently reads 76158km, meaning the total KM covered by this car is 119,980KM.

With the introduction of  midnight purple for the Skyline 33 model… the colour became synonymous and iconic for this generation, so much so it became the poster child for the R33 GTR, yet only a small percentage of factory cars were ever delivered in this colour. Creating exclusivity and desirability particularly in western markets.

With the addition of its sought-after modifications and its overall condition, we believe it offers great value, along with a road presence and reputation that are virtually unrivaled at this price point. It is ideal for enthusiasts and collectors looking to invest in 90s and early 2000s JDM cars.
