The Fiat 500 is one of the automotive world’s most recognisable shapes. Launched to the world in 1957, the original 500 would go on to remain in production for nearly two decades, with nearly 4 million examples finding homes in that time.
During this timeframe many variations were born including Ghia’s ‘Jolly’. Based on the original Fiat 600 Jolly, Ghia’s beach creation was aimed at the plaything for the super-wealthy to trip up and down the riviera in style.
Now over half a century on, the Jolly is a collector favourite and a must have for any collection.
About this specific vehicle
This particular Fiat 500 D was supplied new to the Italian market on the 2nd January 1964 and first registered on the 7th January 1964, and is supplied with its original registration documentation. Accompanying the car are various documents from the Automobile Club D’Italia which can be viewed in the documentation section.
In 2024 the this 500D has been completely stripped and re-hauled into ‘Jolly’ specification by Italian based specialists Jolly Vintage Car.
During this process the car has been completely sprayed in the attractive and period correct shade of Light Green Reseda. The matching numbers engine has been completely rebuilt and has not covered any mileage since restoration.
This Fiat Jolly is completely ready to use and is cancelled ex officio and therefore free to register in any country.
